COMMITTEES
We love our generous volunteers and want you to be a part of our team! If you are interested in serving on a committee, please contact the committee chair via the email links below. (Note: Please don't be fearful that serving on a committee is too time-consuming. Not all committees have rigid structures or meeting times. Many of the committees have a kick-off event and then correspond via Facebook groups or email, allowing members to work on individual projects from home at a time convenient for them. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to contact the PTO president or vice president.)
Dads of Clear Sky (DOCS)
Dads of Clear Sky is a newer committee open to any dad (or grandfather or uncle) who has a child that attends CSE. This group is all about connecting with the kids and having fun! They will be hosting a variety of events, yet to be determined, but the students are hoping for another dodgeball event!
Co-chairs: Matthew Hood and Kelley Durrant (Email)
Fall Festival
PTO hosts a family and community event each fall that includes carnival games, bounce houses, fall boutiques, and more. This committee works closely with the PTO Executive Board to manage all aspects of the Fall Festival.
Chair: Danijela Johns (Email)
Family Events
The PTO sponsors family night events throughout the year like movie nights, game nights, etc. These events are wonderful opportunities for families and students to meet and socialize. PTO also hosts fun events for parents throughout the year like Moms and Muffins, Dads and Donuts, Grandparents Day, and the KISS Lunch. The Family Events Committee coordinates all event planning for these events: creating flyers, obtaining donations for raffles, ordering food and drink, and organizing volunteers to run the show.
Chair: Kelley Durrant (Email)
Holiday Gift Shop
Each year students enjoy making holiday gift purchases for family members through our Holiday Gift Shop. Parent volunteers assist the students with purchases, wrap purchases, and run the cash registers, as well as help with stocking and reordering merchandise. This committee coordinates all aspects of this week-long event.
Chair: Jennifer Batta (Email)
Rewards/Loyalty
There are many ways that we can earn easy money for Clear Sky. This committee manages our national Box Tops for Education program. It also helps coordinate the King Soopers loyalty card program and promotes the fundraising app, Shoparoo. The committee provides detailed information to parents and staff about all of these programs, offers contests to encourage participation, and counts and collects points. (Click here for more information.)
Chair: Suzanne Uhrich (Email)
Spring Event - "A Clear Sky Night"
This adults-only event was introduced last year and was very well received by parents, teachers, and staff. The Spring Event Committee determines the venue, food menu, silent and live auction items, the auctioneer, DJ, volunteers, and everything in between.
Co-chairs: Erika Milligan (Email) and Laryl Fuentes (Email)
Staff Appreciation
This committee plans, coordinates, and executes thoughtful events and activities for Clear Sky teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week in May. Last year we did a fun Super Heroes theme. What will next year's theme be? This committee also creates fun, simple gifts for teachers and staff throughout the year.
Co-chairs: Marina McFarren (Email) and Molly O'Reilly (Email)
Yearbook
The yearbook is something all students look forward to receiving at the end of the school year, and it takes a village to create! This committee is responsible for determining a vendor, collecting photographs, designing pages, coordinating the printing, selling the book, and more.
